By Weds 15th Nov - Books needed for Book Swap

Did you know that only a quarter of children in remote indigenous communities have a basic standard of literacy?

And that the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) is working to change this?

ILF is lifting literacy levels and instilling a life-long love of reading in kids who would otherwise not get this opportunity.

Caroline Adrian is gathering books for a book swap at  her work on Wednesday 22nd November. It will allow staff  to find a book they like and donate a gold coin (or more). All money raised will be donated to the ILF.

What can I do ?

If you have any books that you’d like to donate please bring them along to our club meeting on the 15th November (or earlier) and Caroline will gladly take them from you.

All books are welcome, including novels, non-fiction, kids’ and coffee table books but just make sure they’re in reasonable condition.

Know that your assistance with this request will 'make a difference'.
