FIRST LAPTOP COMPUTERS INTO SNA TECHO HIGH SCHOOL

Tracey Farnsworth is a gem! Having sourced 5 refurbished second-hand laptops, we were able to donate to them to the high school teachers at Sna Techo, Cambodia.  Some of these teachers have never used a laptop or indeed any form of computer before.

$4,000 Cheque Presentation - Project India

Our President Elect Alick presented a Cheque for $4,000 to President John Maddock.

"187 students at Dudhodi School, India, will now have toilets, wash stations and hygiene education thanks to partnership between RC Poona D3131, RC Chadstone/East Malvern D9800 and RC Box Hill Central D9810.

DGE Bronwyn Stephens on the Rotary International Convention

Getting off a plane in one of the busiest airports in America to be greeted by Rotarians in Fluoro vests was very unusual. This Rotary World Convention we were arriving at was to be Rotary on steroids throughout. Over 130 countries were represented, with over 40,000 Rotarians attending, and so many of them from African and Indian nations. Hundreds of Filipinos, and 26 Aussies from District 9800. Registering for the convention at the airport made life easy and that set the tone for the hospitality.
