“Taking on the Challenge - Transition from School to Work”

On Wednesday 25 May the Club had a major presentation for senior students transitioning from school to career and providing them with direct interaction with successful young women.

This is the third year the Club has offered this presentation and each has been a great success.

Panel Discussion and Q&A

The Club invited senior female students and teachers from local High Schools to be guests of the Club for an evening focused on learning from the experiences of a panel of high achieving young women about moving from school to career.

Twenty seven students, teachers and parents from Sacred Heart Girl's College Oakleigh, Ashwood High School and Glen Eira Secondary College joined with over thirty five members and friends in a most stimulating evening.

The girls saw as highly valuable the opportunity presented to learn from the varied experiences of the four young women. These demonstrated, through their personal stories, the qualities they have developed and the actions they have taken to set themselves on their personal career pathway. There was a wide ranging Q&A session which also brought forward many insights from the panellists.

The panellists were unique and insightful. They gave a realistic insight into life after school. Made us feel inspired………….I really enjoyed listening to their experiences.

Well organised. It has covered almost everything for young Year 12 students to prepare for themselves for their transition from school to career.

Club’s Support for Students

The Rotary Club of Chadstone East Malvern has a major focus on activities to support students, schools and other educational institutions and we provide a range of projects to support these.
