The Rotary Chadstone/East Malvern are proud to present one of the most successful club community programmes initiated by our club - BusyFeet.
BusyFeet is a program for kids with significant mental and physical disabilities to learn the magic of dance with 1-1 volunteer tuition. Sounds of Stonnington will give these children an opportunity to showcase what the locals can do, and to give kids a “performance experience”.
Our Rotary Club conducts a Craft Market to raise funds for community projects like rebuilding schools in developing countries and helping locally with projects like our BusyFeet dance and movement program for children with special needs. Our next Market is on Saturday 14 February starting at 9am. In addition to the commercial market stalls selling jewellery candles, children's clothing etc, we have a number of community groups conducting stalls to raise funds including
- Sacred Heart Girls' College from Oakleigh who raise funds to support marginalised women in the Philippines and Vietnam
- St Joseph's Refugee Support Group raising funds for refugees in Werribee
- The World of Difference program
Other community groups will be present explaining what they do and seeking new participants including
- 1st Malvern Scouts, Chadstone
- Chadstone Lawn Bowls Club
- Girl Guides
- The Rotary Club of Chadstone East Malvern.
