Malvern Emergency Food Program
The program aims to provide emergency food service for Stonnington residents in times of crisis. It has been operating as a registered charity for nearly 30 years with a small committee and band of volunteers. The main focus is to provide non-perishable food parcels to the Malvern and Prahran Police stations for 24 hour access with no questions asked, along with distribution via other charities. The parcels contain a balanced diet for 1-2 people for 2-3 days.
At the next Phoenix Park market, 11th November, our raffle will be supporting this group and we are asking club members and members of the public to bring along food items to contribute to hampers for distribution.
Over the weeks ahead Rotarian George Borrow will also regularly be collecting any donations from club members for distribution to those in need.
