HOW WE FIXED SOMEONE ELSES’ SHODDY TOILETS IN CAMBODIA
In Rotary Year 2022/23 the Rotary Clubs of Port Philip and Chadstone East Malvern teamed up with District 9800 World of Difference and the Rotary Foundation to resurrect several toilets built by a shoddy provider in the remote village of Kok Beng Cambodia.
The shoddy provider built single tank toilets that simply consolidation contamination of the the supply of drinking water from the water table AND required the villagers to take out loans to pay for a shoddy toilet!!!
Our partner in Cambodia, Cambodia Clean Water and Toilets Project built a new below ground system for each toilet consisting of two tanks – a processing tank and a soak-away tank
