Becoming a Rotarian

A member of a Rotary Club is called a 'Rotarian'.  The diverse range of projects that the Chadstone East Malvern Rotary put into action require a diverse group of people.   For this reason membership is open to men and women of all nationalities, races, religions and political beliefs.

Rotarians’ common trait is that they want to take action and serve above self.

It is required that a Rotarian is of good character and standing.

There is no minimum age to join Rotary. A guest may join at any age after they become established in a career and have the time to get involved.

The Membership Process

Be our guest at one of our meeting dinners held every Wednesday night.  The dinners provide a great opportunity for guests to learn more about the good work that is done by Rotary International and Chadstone East Malvern Rotary.

Contact the Chadstone East Malvern Rotary and express interest in joining the club. In fact many of our current members have done just that.  Click here to start the conversation.

Responsibilities of Membership

Members are expected to to participate in local or international Rotary club activities or projects. Clubs encourage members to aspire to club leadership or committee roles.  There is a financial cost associated with membership to help with administration of the club which means that money raised through fundraising activities goes straight to projects within the community.
